In the weeks leading up to The Bash, the weather was a huge concern. The Shenandoah area was reported to possibly see up to 6″ of snow the week of the event, which would have surely cancelled the event. It was a nail-biter up until the day before the event when we were given the thumbs up! On short notice, we quickly packed everything up and we were ready to go!
The ride out was quite a bit different than usual, snow covered the usual scenery. It was a beautiful sight to see!We arrived at the track and were very pleased to see the snow melted, and the track clear! We got everything set up, everybody signed in, and we were ready to go!The cars began to line up…Adam was looking better than ever in his new car! Rolling coal like a freight train all day long!Dylan was going after any wall he could find!Billy was really flying out there!Sometimes Adam doesn’t make it very easy to get a picture…The Woobaru was out for a shakedown, expect to see a lot more of this car next season!
Tommy Miata wasn’t feeling the layout, so he just did his own thing! Pedal down!Dylan was testing out his new bump stops…Like a blur…Kyle was looking solid as always! I heard he has some big plans for the off-season…Juan was looking solid as well! The seat time is paying off!Ivan was keeping the pedal down and letting that SR scream. It sounds awesome with the PonCams!Newcomer Ed was improving as the day went on. Started linking turns and almost held the whole course! No wonder Adam is always looking for tires…Even Paul took a few laps!Felix showed up a bit later in the day to give the coupe a test run!Adam’s LS1 Volvo was tearing around the track all day. Sometimes if you looked closely you would see Ivan or G behind the wheel!Adam’s new car seemed to be working great, can’t wait to see where he goes with it from here!Yup, the bump stops are working fine!I really enjoyed the layout! Super smooth! My wonderful mother provided food and drinks for everyone all day! She worked her butt off!
G was definitely having a great time out there…So was Juan…… and Dan…Travis definitely looked like he was enjoying himself…… and you can clearly tell Paul was having a great time!As a matter of fact… I think everyone did!!!
The event was a huge success! I would like to thank anyone who was involved in any way! A special thanks goes out to my mother, for all the hard work she did to make this a reality! I couldn’t have imagined a better way to spend my birthday. It is surely a time I will remember for the rest of my life!
